Westfield Park are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join the team!

This 112 bedroomed care home includes facilities such as an in-house bar, dining rooms, and hairdressing room, a cinema, a convenience store. The home offers large, beautiful gardens, with a bowling green and private seating areas for family, friends, and residents to enjoy.

Westfield Park home is recruiting for an Head Chef

Previous care home work is desirable but not essential, support is provided by the Regional Hospitality Manager.

As a head chef you will lead the team in the preparation and presentation of meals to a high standard to suit resident’s preference and dietary needs.

It is essential that all our Chefs are;

Willing to undertake any training necessary to develop skills and competency relevant to the role.

Sensitive to the needs of others.

An active team player and must be able to work on own initiative.

Possess good communication skills with colleagues, residents and visitors.

Overview of Job Description:

Leading the kitchen team with the planning, preparing and presenting of meals to a high standard.

Ensuring the kitchen is run and equipment maintained to an outstanding level, providing the kind of service the residents expect and deserve.

To control food wastage and budget control

To monitor stocks and purchases, thereby allocating the quantities of materials

To maintain a balanced diet and varied menus.

To ensure and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen.

Ensure that Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards are met.

Supporting and mentoring of kitchen staff to deliver high standards at meal services.
