About Lindsey Hall

Lindsey Hall Care Home is an award-winning Care Home in Cleethorpes providing exceptional residential, dementia, respite and day care.

The care home, located in Cleethorpes on Clee Road, and is rated as Good by CQC Lindsey Hall Care Home won the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Award for the Best New Build Care Home 2017 in the UK. The Home is now having a refurbishment program across the Home.

Our homes are described by our residents as “a cruise ship that doesn’t move”

The original school building has been completely retained and has created fantastic lounges and dining rooms as well as our internal street scene. The infamous street scene, which has become the heart of the home, includes internal bowls green, bandstand, and 7 shop fronts for reminiscence. These include a general store, music store, antique shop, beach hut, florists, and guest house. The arcade area also includes an old-fashioned pub, cinema, post office, hair and beauty salon, café and shop.

The street scene and arcade are fantastic for reminiscence and giving residents the feeling of going out into the community without leaving the safety of their home. Lindsey Hall also offers large, beautiful gardens, with 4 private sensory gardens with allotments, themed areas, an outdoor artificial bowls green, and private seating areas for family, friends, and residents to enjoy.

The home is split into 3 areas, with Clee providing residential care and Thorpe and Haven providing dementia care. Thorpe and Haven are a ‘Home within a Home’ with their own lounge, activity rooms and restaurant dining rooms and have a dedicated care team providing the highest level of dementia care. All 3 care areas open up onto the street scene area. Many bedrooms on Clee include doors out to private patio areas. All the bedrooms are designed to be spacious and come fully furnished with en-suite and all will include highly finished décor and interiors. There are also 4 premium suites across the Home that provide comfortable lounge areas and a bedroom that has been specially designed for couples, loved ones, friends, or individuals.

Yorkare Homes is one of the highest CQC rated care providers nationally and that same level of care will be provided at Lindsey Hall.

Yorkare Homes aim for their residents is to enjoy the next chapter of their lives in a safe and luxurious environment, whilst being able to offer a varied and engaging range of social activities. This is achieved by our dedicated care teams, activity co-ordinators and our highly trained chefs.

Lindsey Hall are working with the NHS in trialling a new Electronic Palliative Care Co-ordination System (EPaCCS).  This will enable the recording and sharing of a residents care preferences, making certain everyone involved in their care are doing so with the most up to date information. Consent will be sought before residents take part in the trial and they can withdraw at any time.

Testimonials

Mum has been a resident here since they first opened and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted warmly and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The management team are always available to help and provide advice and know their residents very well. The home has extremely high standards of cleanliness and everywhere is immaculately maintained. The food is amazing, so much so that Mum went up almost 3 dress sizes! The fabulous carers are friendly, kind, patient and dedicated and know Mum so well they can anticipate and interpret her needs, even though she is unable to vocalise them due to her dementia. The dementia unit feels like its own little family, the visitors get to know each other as well as the other residents and support each other in difficult times. Mum enjoys all the various things the wonderful activities staff arrange, particularly the daily singing. I know Mum is in the best possible setting.
Yvonne W (Daughter of Resident) – 4th June 2021
My mum became a resident just prior to the lockdown, but whilst we were able to go into the home, we found it has excellent facilities, is very clean and well maintained. All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming, and it was obvious they had the best interests of my mum and the family in mind. Since lockdown, Lindsey Hall has facilitated video calls to keep in touch, and have provided a visiting room to maintain some contact. All the staff have been incredibly supportive during this difficult time, and we have also had a review to discuss the existing and ongoing care. I know that I can pick up the telephone at any time and discuss any concerns there may be. We, as a family, are incredibly grateful for the excellent care and support all the staff give.
Julie W (Daughter of Resident) – 14th January 2021
Mum became a resident in Dec 2019 after we finally accepted that caring at home was no longer in her best interest. The exponential improvement of her deteriorating condition was immediately noticeable and a massive relief to the whole family. Mum now has a "second family" at Lindsey Hall who we are  extremely happy to share her with. The standard of care, compassion, and involvement with the residents has to be experienced to be believed. We can all sleep at night knowing Mum is receiving the best care possible and is in a "happy place".
Ian B (Son of Resident) – 13th January 2021
Mum has been a resident at Lindsey Hall for over 4-years and celebrated her 91st birthday in January this year. It is without a doubt she would not have reached this good age without the care provided by the home, which is reflected in her current wellbeing. Obviously, the lockdown has had an impact  on our visiting, which is to be accepted, but the management has done everything possible within the constraints to allow a continuation during these difficult times. I am unable to speak more highly of all members of staff and their dedication in providing such a wonderful level of service, and take this opportunity to thank each and everyone for their continual efforts.
Stephen T (Son of Resident) – 13th January 2021
“The care my mum is receiving, particularly during this lockdown period during the COVID-19 epidemic, is exemplary. The staff have all been wonderful whilst working under very difficult circumstances. We have been kept well informed by the management of everything happening and can access a social media page which is kept up to date with news, pictures and videos. The facilities at Lindsey Hall are very good and the activities staff try to offer a variety of things to interest residents. It has been wonderful during the lockdown, to have them facilitate video call meetings with my mum.”
