Birthday Celebratations

One of our lady residents celebrated her 90th birthday on Sunday, her friends had arranged a surprise party for her in our street scene and invited all of the residents to come along and join in. We made sure all the street was decorated with banners and balloons and made a head table for her and her party. They had booked a singer and also had arranged for a retired ballroom dancing couple to come in and do a dance display. The birthday girls wish last year was to have a waltz on her 90th birthday so this is why the dancers came in their own time and the gentleman took our lady for a waltz round the floor.

She also used to be a baton twirler in her day and we managed to get her to give us a display of her baton twirling. Everyone had a lovely time our lady was so surprised and over the moon.
