Testimonials

I was so anxious when my husband needed to move into a care home. From the very beginning, the staff have taken excellent care of both my husband and me, especially in my darkest days. Even though my husband can't always truly communicate, the staff respects him and still gives him choices. They anticipate his needs and give him a home now that he cannot live in ours. He is always clean and well-dressed. I cannot praise all the staff enough.

The hardest thing is when your parent goes into care but I cannot thank the new manager enough for the changes implemented here at Rawcliffe Manor, more staff, more trips out, and activities for all the residents if they choose to do so a variety of going up into the cinema, into the bar or just quite time with a one to one carer it means the world to know they are getting this stimulation as we know each resident is unique and have different needs. Thank you all so much for everything you do we really appreciate you.

“My mother-in-law is so happy at RM. The atmosphere is warm, the staff are engaging and care. Food is good quality and can cater for different likes and dislikes. The management and leadership are to be admired for their progressive view of the operation of RM.”
A W (Son-in-law of Resident) – 4 April 2025
We needed emergency respite care and Rawcliffe were amazing at arranging this at short notice, and again readjusting plans for us when a planned leaving date had to be changed last minute. Every time I visited I was made to feel welcome by the staff, and there was a lovely feeling of calm within the home. The rooms are spacious, light and comfortable, and were always clean. The carers quickly got to know my Mum and built up a relationship and this home would be our first choice if further care is needed in future.

“Exceptionally high level of care shown to residents from a motivated and committed team. The food is delicious with a great choice available, this is warmly received each meal time by the residents. The security at the home is a high standard that provides a high degree of confidence.”
Paul T (Son of Resident) – 3 September 2025
My mum (who has dementia) recently stayed at Rawcliffe Manor for respite care while we went away on holiday. My mum received a very high standard of care throughout her stay & had opportunities to join in with a range of engaging activities & to socialise with other residents. The staff were all extremely caring & made sure that all of her needs were met, not only physical but also social & emotional as well. I was able to see photographs of my mum on the social media page meaning that I could see that she was enjoying herself. The care home is meticulously clean & well organised. This is the third time my mum has stayed at Rawcliffe Manor for respite care & I can go away on holiday knowing that my mum is safe, happy & being well looked after. Thanks again for ensuring that my mum had a lovely stay with you. Highly recommend!

“We are delighted to have 'discovered' Rawcliffe Manor. Mum has been very happy there for over a year. She receives wonderful, compassionate and friendly care. The whole team have an excellent attitude and clearly love their vocation. Thank you.”
C W (Daughter of Resident) – 11 September 2025
I went with mum with a heavy heart to have two weeks respite as a care home was never part of what we had hoped for. During this time mum wanted to stay as she felt so safe there ,she soon made some friends. All the staff from reception, maintenance, cleaners, carers, activity leaders and management all go out of their way to be friendly and chatty to all the residents. Family are also made to feel welcome and can visit freely. The range of activities put on are really well thought out and can include family members which is so nice to do things with your loved ones and other people I felt they really expanded life for my mum She loved the food and there was always something she liked she also enjoyed the communal atmosphere of the dining room and amazingly her weight improved Sadly mum was put on end of life care due to an unexpected illness. So her stay here altered but once again they showed mum and the family what true care in this setting can be , for this I thank-you
