A Christmas to remember

Everyone at Magdalen park has had a fun filled Christmas, in the lead up to the festive period everyone enjoyed A Christmas Market, Carols in the Magdalen Arms Christmas Fair , Christmas flower arranging, Mince pie tasting , a theatre trip to the pantomime , our annual Christmas party and much much more.

On Christmas day the residents got a special visit from Santa he personally gave out the presents to the residents and wished them Happy Christmas. This was followed by a Christmas dinner which residents, family, friends and staff enjoyed.

Our residents Robert said “ It’s my first Christmas away from home and I can honestly say it was absolutely and utterly perfection and I admire all the hard work and effort everyone put in to making Christmas day one to be remembered."

Another resident Len simply said it had been “wonderful”. To finish off the Christmas celebrations and to get the new year off to a good start everyone enjoyed a party with Richard singing. The highlight of the day was the star awards where all the residents received various awards these included 'best male helper', 'the queen of whist and dominoes', 'for making us smile' and 'activity coordinator in training'.

Everyone at Magdalen Park is looking forward to what 2018 will bring.

Happy New Year!
