The Home provides both residential and dementia care in separate areas of the Home.

The facilities include a residents pub, hair and beauty salon’s, sweet shop, cinema, bowls green and large gardens.

Cottingham Manor is currently recruiting for General Assistants (with care elements)

£12.60 per hour (£12.70 with NVQ2)

Free DBS check*

Shift hours either earlies/lates – 18 or 24 hours a week (6 hours per shift)

This role will include some weekend work

Overview of Job Description

• Personal Care duties.
• Domestic Assistant duties.
• To maintain Health and safety throughout the home for residents, visitors and staff.
• To keep a high standard of appearance and tidiness throughout the home and to respect each residents’ belongings being mindful of their privacy and dignity in their rooms and to their personal property·
• To ensure that every resident enjoys clean and well maintained laundry and that this is presented to the required standard.
• To carry out general kitchen and dining room duties, such as setting tables, washing up and serving meals to residents.
• Servery duties including basic meal preparation (Toast/Porridge/Eggs/Sandwiches etc) serving meals, tidying and cleaning tables etc
• May include at times taking meals to Residents rooms and tidying away once finished.
• May be a requirement to carry out the Tea round – taking the tea/coffee trolley around the floor room to room asking residents what they would like
