For Yorkare Homes, 2019 is the Year of Challenges!
Staff, Residents and families have been setting themselves tasks and having all sorts of fun!
One of our residents, John Price, is completing a 1-mile sponsored swim for his personal ‘Challenge 19’. At 93 years old, John has spent years in the water and even taught many how to swim themselves in his younger years. With this in mind, John has taken on this mammoth challenge regardless of the fact he hasn’t been in the water for 12 years!
All money raised will go towards the residents' fund here at Westfield Park. Our activities co-ordinator Karlie, has kindly set up a Just Giving page for people to send donations and follow his progress. There already lots of messages of support for John, who has already completed half of his challenge and there is nothing standing in his way from that finish line.
