Interest was high as the new Cottingham Manor Care Home officially opened its doors. The unveiling of the 66-bedroom home, in Harland Way, Cottingham, formed the centrepiece of two open days, when members of the community and prospective residents were invited to view its luxurious facilities.
Owners Yorkare Homes were delighted by the number of people who took up the invitation, which saw a steady stream of visitors on both Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11 2022.
Yorkare’s Nicola Anderson said: “It was an overwhelming response, with lots of people coming to see what Cottingham Manor Care Home has to offer, whether as potential residents or simply because they were interested to see what it was like after watching the building work.
“There was a lovely community feel to the whole event and people were genuinely keen to know all about the home. I am sure that the home will be a fabulous asset to Cottingham village and surrounding areas.
“It’s been amazing to see the progress that has been have made in creating fabulous communal areas as well as see the beautifully-appointed rooms for residents.”
Like every home in the growing Yorkare portfolio, Cottingham Manor provides residential and specialist dementia care for both long and short stays. It sits on a 1.6-acre site with landscaped gardens, a bowling green and allotments, providing opportunities for residents to lead an active and sociable lifestyle. The spacious bedrooms all have their own wet room while those on the ground floor have doors to their own patio.
However, where Yorkare homes really stand out from the crowd is their communal facilities: not just the high-specification lounge and dining areas but an in-house bar, a full beauty salon and hairdressing room, and a cinema – all of which are provided at Cottingham Manor.
As a family-run company with more than 30 years’ experience, Yorkare’s aim is to provide the highest quality of care in luxurious surroundings
