New care home officially opens in Cottingham with a ‘community feel’ event

Interest was high as the new Cottingham Manor Care Home officially opened its doors. The unveiling of the 66-bedroom home, in Harland Way, Cottingham, formed the centrepiece of two open days, when members of the community and prospective residents were invited to view its luxurious facilities.

Owners Yorkare Homes were delighted by the number of people who took up the invitation, which saw a steady stream of visitors on both Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11 2022.

Yorkare’s Nicola Anderson said: “It was an overwhelming response, with lots of people coming to see what Cottingham Manor Care Home has to offer, whether as potential residents or simply because they were interested to see what it was like after watching the building work.

The spacious bedrooms all have their own wet room while those on the ground floor have doors to their own patio.
