D-Day 80th Anniversary celebrations

The D-Day landings of 6 June 1944 was the largest seaborne invasion in history. Along with the associated airborne operations, it marked the beginning of the liberation of France and western Europe.

Across all 12 of our care homes the 80th Anniversary of D-Day was marked. The activity teams found ways to commemorate the occasion in a variety of ways through reminiscence, singing, dancing, quizzes, crafts, parties, displays and more.

A huge thank you to all our activity & events leads, coordinators and wider staffing teams who helped to bring these celebrations together supporting our residents in their homes.
