Testimonials

From the time my sister was assessed whilst in hospital, my realisation that it was thorough and professionally undertaken was a relief. After two months in hospital, she was treated with respect, care and given the time to answer and ask questions with family support included in the discussion. When she arrived in the care home, she already had a plan of care and the room was set up to her current needs. The home itself is lovely with friendly, hardworking and thoughtful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Within the first week, she has seen a chiropodist, had her hair done and is enjoying the varied menu. As she has recently become a widow, she has already been made aware that bereavement counselling is available should she feel the need. As relatives, we are already feeling she will happily settle in longer term. Thank you for giving her such a good start.

I was lucky enough to secure a room at Parklands for my elderly step mum, who was suffering from Parkinson's and no longer able to live at home. We were told that her room was her home and that we were able to bring small pieces of furniture, pictures, ornaments and photos. It made the move so much easier for my step-mum but also for family and friends. Every member of staff treated her with care and compassion.
As one staff member said, "They are like family to us, we grow so fond of them all". We couldn't fault it. It's obviously a beautiful home, like a 5-star hotel, but it's the staff that really make it. We are very lucky to have found it.
Georgina D (Daughter of Resident) – 8th June 2023
My father was a resident at Beverley Parklands Care Home for a little over two and a half years, and my wife and I, have nothing but the highest praise for the staff and management team. After suffering a stroke, which ended his independent living, Dad's mobility was significantly restricted, but he still wanted to live his life to the fullest he could, and in particular, follow his passion for painting. This he achieved with the wonderful help, support and understanding of everyone in all departments. After his earlier stay in a different care home, we were so relieved at the calm experienced in this new setting. The staff philosophy in his former home was that he lived at their place of work and needed to fit into their scheme of work. Dad's complaints were endless. At Parklands, it was the reverse - the staff came to work in his home and catered for his individual needs and wishes with respect and patience. Thank you to the staff, the management and also those at the head office.
D H (Son of Resident) – 9th September 2022
I used Beverley Parklands Care Home for respite care following a spinal operation. This was my first ever involvement with carers and care homes and I could not have been more satisfied. I had an excellent room (suite). Very good food and the overall care exceeded my expectations. The staff at Parklands are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble.
Robert W (Respite Resident) – 25th May 2023
Due to ill health and dementia, my parents suddenly found themselves in residential care so they could continue being together. They are well looked after in comfortable surroundings and by staff who care deeply for them and cannot do enough to help them. They never planned or anticipated being in such a situation and have found it extremely difficult to adjust to their 'new life' but have found support and encouragement at every corner. The accommodation and facilities are first class.
Paul S (Son of Resident) – 4th June 2021
Both my parents needed dementia care within 4 months of each other and for nearly a year they were able to be together in this wonderful, caring environment. They were able to spend most of their time and eat meals together. They were loved and cared for and most importantly, were content to be in what they thought was an hotel, where ‘everything is free’. That made us laugh but the worry of day to day life was completely lifted from them and that was so important to our family. My father continues to be looked after at the highest level since my mum sadly passed away early last year. We have been unable to see him properly with the global pandemic taking hold. The management have worked tirelessly to keep our loved ones safe and secure, with regular staff testing, quickly setting up a secure visiting room and garden area for families, regular Skype visits and telephone updates. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you.
Trish F (Daughter of Resident) – 8th January 2021
Our father has been a resident for over a year and is happy to now call it home, thanks to the wonderful care and attention of all the staff. Every single person, from day and night carers to kitchen staff and maintenance, has gone over and above all they could do to make him happy and well at all times and particularly during this time of crisis, when he has also been unwell. We and he are so very appreciative and for my sister and I, it gives us such peace of mind to know that he is being so well cared for and loved. Many, many thanks
Ann B (Daughter of Resident) – 5th October 2020
“My mother was one of the first residents to move into the home in November 2017. She (and I) have found every aspect of the home to be well managed, professional, caring and homely in all respects. The current Covid 19 crisis has reinforced my already high regard of the professional and caring approach of staff members at all levels. I am so pleased that my mother is in such a safe, friendly and comfortable environment to see out her twilight years.”
T Hubbard (Son of a Resident) – 14th May 2020
“My parents moved into Beverley Parklands in February 2019, and my Dad passed away in November. He was well looked after and entertained, and in his last days he was treated with care and respect and all his family appreciated the dignity he was shown. He could have been in his own Home - which he was!”
D Prill (Son of Residents) – 3rd January 2020
