Magdalen Park Bake Off!

Laura Hugill, Residential Lead at the home, had the hard job of leading a panel including a resident and resident's son to judge a recent bake off at Magdalen!

Eight entries were made – and as can be seen from the photos below, all looked delicious.

Prizes and certificates were given out at a short ceremony held in the Magdalen Arms attended by residents of the home, along with some relatives and staff members. Winning a special award for the best-decorated cake was the fantastic Owl cake made by Anna Meuss, with the feathers made from chocolate buttons.

Runner up was the gravity-defying Malteser cake made by Sarah Cullen with the award being collected by her son Oliver. And overall winner was… drum roll… Steph Ashton our popular activities coordinator! Her Easter themed Kit Kat cake catching both the eyes and scintillating the taste buds of the judges.

There will no doubt be a rush to be on the judging panel at the event next year!
