We are pleased to announce that in our latest CQC inspection, Magdalen Park was awarded an outstanding rating in three of the five categories, and an outstanding rating overall.

The fact that we are the first private nursing home in the Hull and East Riding area to be rated Outstanding and this rating has been awarded to less than 1% of care homes nationally, it is a real testament to the staff at Magdalen for all their hard work and passion.

The CQC report can be found on the Magdalen page, however some of the headlines are:

“The culture of the service was positive and person centred. People lived in a home where they were sure their views were valued”.

“We saw evidence that staff and managers were going the extra mile to provide compassionate and enabling care to people living at Magdalen Park”.

“Without exception, people and relatives praised the staff for their caring and professional approach”.

“The service worked proactively to promote people’s health and wellbeing. There was a strong emphasis on ensuring people’s hydration and nutritional needs were met and this had contributed to positive outcomes for people”.

Jonathan Garton, Operations Director, held a meeting with staff and residents to break the excellent news. This was followed by a party with a singer on both floors of the home for staff, residents and their friends and families. As the photos show this was enjoyed by all, especially the drinks, cake and visit from a local fish and chip van to bring dinner for everyone.
