Regional Finalists in Great British Care Awards!

We are pleased to announce that Yorkare Homes has reached the final round of the Yorkshire and Humberside region of the Great British Care Awards in the “Employer” category.

Paul Theaker has also reached the final round for “Best Ancillary Worker”. As handyman at Westfield Park Nursing Home everyone relies on him, working steadily in the background, to make sure everything runs smoothly. Paul is always a friendly face around the home and helps in every way he can so we are pleased that this has been recognised and are not surprised that Paul has reached the regional final.

The Great British Care Awards are one of the highest profile celebrations within the care industry and we wish both finalists the best of luck in their categories!

Five representatives from each home are going to the award ceremony in the Royal Armouries in Leeds at the end of the month where the winners will be announced. As part of the night everyone will receive a souvenir brochure with pictures of all the finalists. The most inventive photo within the Grease theme will win a prize on the night – we have sent in a photo of Paul and his “Pink Ladies” and some of the gentlemen of Magdalen Park re-enacting the Grease Lightening scene on the home’s tractor!
