Summer Fun!

Magdalen Park recently held their first Summer Fayre, and it was a resounding success. The residents really enjoyed the afternoon and they raised £531.27 which will go into the residents fund to help pay for trips out and entertainment in. The Fayre was attended by residents, family members, staff and friends who enjoyed playing summer games like hook a duck and splat the rat. Kel, one of our popular entertainers, kept people dancing by singing some old favourites. We also had a special visit from East Yorkshire Falconry Club who brought along some owls and eagles for people to look at and hold.

More recently we held a party for our 1 year anniversary. This was held upstairs in the main lounge and the residents enjoyed a balloon artisit before one of the residents, Bob, enthusiastically blew out a very large cake the residents had baked earlier in the week. This then kick started the party with a singer playing some special requests from the residents.

Thank you to everyone who joined the residents for either of the parties.
