Boat Trip on the Beck

Residents recently had an unexpected adventure on the water when the low tide meant our boat trip was extended. It was a lovely day on a longboat cruising down Beverley Beck and seeing the sights from the water. For some residents it was their first time on a canal boat while others talked fondly about holidays on board a boat when they were younger.

The weather was perfect – dry, crisp, bright and sunny which made the water look extra sparkly. After our trip up the Beck the tide was low so the boat got stuck coming out of the lock onto the River Hull. Everyone had a laugh about the situation and we had lunch on board with extra cups of tea until the tide came back in and we could go back through the lock and home.

Great fun was had when we got back to Beverley Parklands safely in telling everyone about our adventures.
