About Westfield Park

Westfield Park is a care home in Goole, East Yorkshire. The Home, situated on Westfield Lane next door to Goole Rugby Club in Hook, provides residential and dementia care across two buildings. The care home is rated Good by CQC.

The New Build Home has 54 large all ensuite bedrooms, providing residential care on the ground and 1st floor and dementia care in our Haven on the 2nd floor. The ground floor bedrooms have doors to external patios to the front gardens or into the courtyards. Other facilities include an in-house pub, a full beauty salon and hairdressing room, an artificial outdoor bowls pitch and a sweet shop. There are 3 premier suites which all have their own kitchenettes and lounge areas, and have been specially designed for couples/siblings but can be used individually also.

The Haven, specialising in dementia care, is situated in our original Home which was adapted to be more ‘dementia friendly’ including a rummage shop, tea room, hairdressers and cinema. All the bedrooms are on the ground floor, and they are split into two smaller units, with a large central area being used for activities. The dining room has a fake restaurant front and the central lounge has access out onto the artificial bowls pitch and pub.

“While my husband has lived at Westfield Park he has been treated with the upmost respect and dignity. The staff are extremely knowledgeable of his diagnosis. They are proactive in approaching wider professional services in accessing additional support, whilst at all times keeping families updated with progress. The staff also have extensive knowledge of legislation framework which supports their professionalism, person centred practice and maintains my husbands well-being. The house is purposed while being lovely and welcoming. My husband is extremely settled and content. ”

“Quite recently my husband started attending day care twice a week, he has settled in really well. It gives me time for myself to recharge my batteries and I know he is being looked after very well. All the staff have been friendly , caring and making us feel welcome when we arrive. I trust them to make his stay a happy one. The management are very approachable and are more than willing to help in any way they can, making us feel we are not just a number. ”
Megan (wife of resident) 22nd February 2019
“My parents received a warm welcome and were made to settle in really well. The staff are patient and kind towards my parents. I must also mention the patient and kindly way that my mother has been treated by all members of the care team and support staff. It is particularly heartening to see that she is invited to participate in and is included in all suitable social events, despite her having advancing dementia. The peace of mind that my family and I enjoy from knowing that my parents are receiving the best available care cannot be over-stated. ”
Geoff P (Son of residents) 28th November 2017
“Finding a new Care Home can be a perilous affair. There is a great deal of responsibility upon family to find good accommodation and high standards of care. My mum has recently taken up residence at Westfield Park Haven. We have been in other Care Homes and I have a lot of experience, having had both my mum and late father in other Care Homes. I noted Westfield Park has a stable management team for a number of years now. My mum looks happier, more relaxed and is better dressed and cleaner. She likes the Home and I find the carers just that, caring. She has a nice room and activities are held daily, she even likes the food. I feel my mum is safe here. ”
Phil (Residents Son, 7th November 2018)
“My father was a resident for over 6 years, at no point did I ever worry that he was in anything but a safe, secure and caring environment. ”
Alojzy (Son of Resident on 30th June 2018)
“My mam has been on the Haven Unit since last November and she calls it her sanctuary. The staff encourage my mam to maintain her independence which enables her to express her personality. They always treat my mam with respect and in a way that maintains her dignity. The home and grounds are immaculate and we are always made welcome when we visit. I work in the care profession myself and have been very impressed by the high standard of care that i have witnessed at the home. ”
Elaine (Daughter of Resident on 3rd July 2018)
“I would like to thank the staff who looked after my mum whilst she lived at Westfield Park.. I would especially like to thank the staff who were there at the end and I appreciated their support and comments. She was well looked after, thank you. ”
Steve I (Resident’s Son on 7th March 2018)
“My sister and I knew that Westfield was right for our parents as soon as we were shown round. Some three months on, and we are still of the same opinion. All the staff that we have met have been patient, caring and skilled at their work. They work hard to keep the place fresh and clean and still devote time to take a personal interest in the residents. ”
Geoffrey P (Resident’s Son on 23rd April 2018)
“My wife has been attending Day care and Respite Care since January. Initial experience has been very pleasing, she goes without fuss and is generally very content when I collect her. I have been very impressed with the caring and stimulating approach adopted by the carers. All staff are very friendly and approachable and when aligned with the all round professionalism, it gives me the confidence and contentment needed when leaving loves ones in a care environment. Keep up the good work. ”
