Out and About with Beverley Parklands

We love to keep our residents entertained with in home activities but also trips out and about too.

This month has seen us visit Hull’s Street Life Museum, residents took in all the museum had to offer; from vintage buses, to cobble streets and tram lines. For many it was an emotional trip down memory lane as they wandered down a 1940’s high street. Next, they took a break to have a lovely picnic provided by our staff and a nice hot drink from the Museum’s café. It was lovely to see residents reminisce about fond memories and a thoroughly good day was had by all.

We have also been to The Deep this month! We had members of staff escorting us to various places within the aquarium, they were extremely helpful and it allowed us to enjoy our day to the full potential. Residents got to see all kinds of marine life and especially enjoyed going in the glass lift through the large water tank. Fish surrounded them and they even got to watch a live show of divers feeding the sea creatures. Staff brought a picnic along for residents to enjoy and have a well-deserved break.  It was a long, but very enjoyable day for everyone and we can’t wait to return.
