Yorkare Remembers

At Yorkare Homes we are proud to support our residents in commemorating the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women involved in the two world wars and later conflicts.

Over the last couple of weeks our residents and teams from across several of our homes and head office have been out supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal stands in our local community. Pictured below is Jayne, our Tranby Park Activity & Events Lead accompanying two residents on the stand in Asda and Nicola from our head office team with a resident from Beverley Parklands Care Home who helped with the stand in their local Tesco store.

Our Sleaford Manor Care Home rose to the appeal of St Botolph’s Church in Quarrington for knitters to help in contributing several poppies to add to their touching display.

At Magdalen Park an emotional commemorative service was held on the premises, Cottingham Manor and several of the other homes made respectful display areas to enable their residents to reflect and remember.

Our picture gallery shows some examples of the wonderful work that our homes have created in order to support their residents on this, Thank you to all our staff for supporting our residents in this way.
